The Benevolent Fund Committee plays a vital role in supporting DCSO employees during times of need. Their initiatives not only provide financial assistance, but also cultivate a sense of unity and compassion in the face of family illness, death, financial struggles, births, and other celebrations. The committee sends flowers for family funeral services or makes a donation to the charity of their choosing in their honor; supports office members through a difficult period; and sends gifts for newborns. It is funded through donations left in the metal black boxes posted throughout the office and through DCSO clothing sales.
